Household sharing

Share your HSA Monster data with your spouse or partner using iCloud. You both see every transaction and receipt, and either of you can scan and add expenses.

Sharing with your partner

  1. Go to Settings → Household Sharing → Create Household.
  2. Enter a Household Name, like “Smith Family,” and tap Create.
  3. Choose how to send the invitation, like Messages or Mail.

All your existing transactions, accounts, and family members are added to the household.

Both of you need to be signed in to iCloud. You can share with one household at a time.

Joining a household

  1. Open the invitation on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
  2. HSA Monster opens. Tap Join Household.

If you’re already in a household, leave it first.

Managing the household

In Settings → Household Sharing:

  • Edit renames the household (owner only).
  • Manage adds or removes people (owner only).
  • View Members shows who’s in it.
  • ••• → Resync with Household fetches the latest if something’s missing.

Stopping sharing

  • Owner: ••• → Remove Household. Your partner loses access, and you keep all your data.
  • Partner: ••• → Leave Household. You lose access to the household’s data.

FAQ

Does my partner need their own subscription?

No, not with the Yearly plan. It’s shared through Apple Family Sharing, so your partner gets it too:

  1. Make sure you’re both in the same Apple Family. On iPhone, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Family.
  2. On the subscriber’s iPhone, open the Settings app, tap your name, then Subscriptions → HSA Monster, and make sure Share With Family is on.
  3. On your partner’s device, open HSA Monster and tap Settings → Restore Access, or Restore on the upgrade screen.

Why doesn’t a new receipt show up on my partner’s device yet?

Receipts can take a moment to appear while they upload. If something still seems missing, tap ••• → Resync with Household.
