Where your data lives

Your expenses, receipts, and accounts are stored on your devices and in your private iCloud account. HSA Monster has no servers of its own and no account to sign up for, so there’s no copy of your data with us.

If you share a household, only the people you invite can see it.

How receipts are read

By default, receipts are read on your device with Apple Intelligence, or Text Recognition on devices without it. They’re never sent to a third-party service.

If you choose Private Cloud Compute in Settings → Document Scanning, receipts are processed by Apple’s Private Cloud Compute, which is designed so no one, including Apple, can access your data. See Scanning receipts.

Analytics

HSA Monster collects usage and crash data to improve the app, like which features are used. It never includes the details of your expenses, such as providers, amounts, or receipts.

Deleting your data

• Delete transactions individually, then Empty the Trash.
• Settings → HSA Accounts → Edit → Delete Account deletes an account and all its transactions.
• To remove everything from iCloud, open the iPhone Settings app, tap your name, then iCloud → Manage Storage, choose HSA Monster, and delete its data.
