Out of Pocket vs. paid from HSA
This choice decides where the expense counts:
- Out of Pocket adds it to your Reimbursable total, the money you can pay yourself back later.
- An HSA account subtracts it from that account’s balance instead. You can’t reimburse yourself for it, since your HSA already paid.
Providers
Tap Provider to pick one you’ve used before or type a new name and tap Create. Reusing the same name keeps search, reports, and receipt file names consistent.
To merge providers that were typed differently, select their expenses and use Combine Provider. See Search & batch edit.
Editing an expense
Tap an expense to see its details, then tap Edit. Changing the date, provider, or amount also renames the receipt file to match.
